Retreat & OffsiteActivities
Epic Begins
Here's Where It All StartsMemory makers, connection builders, and culture boosters.
From adrenaline-pumping cliffhangers to grounding forest hikes. We design experiences that aren't just "fun". Whether you're planning your next leadership offsite, hybrid team retreat, or simply dreaming big.
Team building activities for corporate retreats and offsites are the shared experiences that turn colleagues into a team: from white-water rafting and bungy jumps to wine tastings, fireside circles and hackathons.
Driftawave designs them across five themes (Thrill, Wellness, Flow, Culture and Mindset) and weaves them into every retreat, offsite and workation we organise. And it works: a meta-analysis of 60 correlations found team building has a moderate positive effect, concentrated in how teams feel and how they work together rather than in performance.

Start Planning TodayGood Questions
What kinds of activities does Driftawave offer on team retreats and company offsites?
We design every retreat, offsite and workation across five energies, and most programmes mix three or four of them. Thrill: White-water rafting, canyoning, paragliding, bungy jumps and the Olympic bob sleigh run. Wellness: Guided hikes and volcano trails, thermal baths, forest walks and mindfulness, hammam and massage. Flow: Yacht and catamaran days up to company-wide regattas, surf lessons, snorkelling and scuba diving. Culture: Cooking classes, street art tours and graffiti workshops, vineyard wine tastings, historic town hunts. Mindset: Icebreakers and energy mapping, founders fire and gratitude circles, hackathons, silent walk and share. You tell us the vibe. We curate the moments for you to choose from.
How do you choose the right activities for our team?
We start with what you want the trip to do, not with a catalogue. The goal: Alignment, celebration, strategy or pure reconnection each pull a different mix of energies. The group: Size, energy levels, and how much comfort-zone stretching your team actually wants. The place: We only propose what a destination genuinely does well, never a filler activity. The curve: A high-adrenaline morning gets something grounding after it, so the week has a rhythm. You get a shortlist per day and your team chooses. Nothing goes in the programme without your yes.
Can we combine several energies in one offsite?
Yes, and most teams do. The five energies are the building blocks; our offsite concepts are the ready-made combinations. Edge of Comfort: Thrill-led, for teams who bond fastest by doing something slightly terrifying together. Wild & Rooted: Nature and Wellness, tree whispers, barefoot walks and bonfires that ground a team. Mountain Air: High-altitude clarity and fireside storytelling, strong for leadership groups. Ocean Flow: Coastal water and Flow, from sailing days to surf mornings. Creative Pulse: Culture in creative urban destinations, for teams whose work needs fresh input. The combinations are where it gets interesting. An Ocean Flow week can pick up Wild & Rooted jungle vibes for a couple of days, so the team sails the coast and then walks into the green to switch the pace entirely. Every concept gets tailored to your crew.
What if people on our team are neurodivergent or have specific needs?
We always keep that in mind. Please share it with us upfront and we will work on it. That covers a lot of ground: Neurodivergent colleagues, dietary needs, mobility, anyone who needs a quieter room, a slower morning or simply to know the plan a day ahead. It changes real choices, from the venue we propose to how much unstructured time the programme leaves in. The parallel options help here too, because nobody has to opt out in front of the whole group. The earlier we know, the more we design around it instead of adapting on the day.
Does everyone have to join the adrenaline activities?
No. Nobody is signed up for a bungy jump they did not choose. We are big believers in YOU DO YOU, as the Aussies say out loud. You are the chief of your own body and control centre. We build most days with a parallel option, so the group stays together even when it splits for an afternoon. One half rafts, the other half walks the gorge and meets them at the water. That is why the five energies matter. A team that shares a wine tasting or a gratitude circle bonds just as hard as the one that jumped. Tell us where your team sits and we will shape the programme around it.
